URA FC vs KCCA FC
Arena of Visions, Bombo
Friday, 31-01-2020 @4pm
KCCA FC will be hoping to go top of the Uganda Premier League on Friday when they take on URA FC at the Arena of Visions in Bombo on Friday afternoon.
The Kasasiros start the day two points behind leaders Vipers SC who are not in action until Sunday.
Victory for Mike Mutebi’s side will see them move to 44 points, one ahead of the Venoms.
However, they will have to dig deep against a side that they have not defeated in any of their last two games.
Ahead of the game, Mutebi anticipates a tough encounter.
“If we are going to be Champions, we shall insist playing our Way. Noted Mutebi.
“It is not going to be easy for us because URA is one of the in-form teams since second round commenced but we go into the game with our winning mentality and we have enough to collect all three points from them.
KCCA FC will be without the duo of Sunday Opio and Sadat Annaku due to injury. Mike Mutyaba and Muzamir Mutyaba are also doubtful for the game but face late fitness tests to see if they can play any part. Jackson Nnuda and Jurua Hassan are longtime absentees while Simon Sserunkuma and Kezironi Kizito are still serving club suspensions.
For URA FC, they head into the game full of confidence as they have been in fine form lately.
Since the turn of the year, Sam Simbwa’s side have won four and drawn once in the five games they have played in all competitions.
The draw away to Tooro United FC ended a run of four successive victories.
As they attempt to get the better of KCCA, they have been boosted by the return to full fitness of custodian James Alitho who missed the draw against Tooro United FC. Midfielder Moses Sseruyidde, forward Daniel Isiagi and defender Najib Fesali are all still out with injuries.
