Vipers SC regained their five-point lead at the top of the Uganda Premier League following a second victory of the season over BUL FC.
The Venoms who had won just one of their last four games across all competitions were on the right end of a five-goal show, winning 3-2.
Tito Okello scored a first ever hat trick for the visitors while Fredson Gwoto and Robert Mukongotya netted for BUL.
Vipers took the lead as Okello converted from the spot after he wa fouled inside the area by Denis Okoth, on 19 minutes.
Nine minutes later, Okello made it 2-0 with a fancy chip after he was teed up by a long Fabien Mutombora clearance.
At the hour mark, Gwoto reduced the deficit for BUL off a Simon Oketch assist.
The first half drama continued three minutes later as Mukongotya levelled matters for Bul after Peter Oketch won the ball from a Rahmat Senfuka back pass to custodian-Mutombora and teed up the striker.
The home side were then dealt a huge blow before the end of the first half as Oketch limped off and was replaced by Richard Wandyake.
In the second half, Vipers sent on Allan Kayiwa and Dan Sserunkuma for Brian Nkuuni and Paul Mucureezi in a bid to try and win it.
The substitutes indeed worked as Sserunkuma set up Okello to complete his hat trick and out Vipers back ahead.
Despite reasonable late pressure by BUL, the Venoms held on to win the contest and also see Okello scoop the man-of-the-match accolade.
The three points earned ensure Vipers move to 49 points for the season, five ahead of second placed KCCA FC.
For BUL, they stay in 6th with 30 points from 21 games.
