BUL FC 4-0 Onduparaka FC
FUFA Technical Center, Njeru
Wednesday, 04-03-2020
BUL FC returned to winning ways on Wednesday thanks to a commanding 4-0 victory over Onduparaka FC at Njeru.
The Jinja based side were rampant on the day, scoring twice in either half to seal all three points.
They were gifted the opening goal on 18 minutes when Denis Andama put through his own-net as he tried to deal with a Joseph Ssemuju-teasing delivery.
The home side made it 2-0 on the half hour mark through Musa Walangalira who headed home after Onduparaka failed to deal with a routine ball into the area.
Two minutes into the second half, Fredson Gwoto scored BUL’s third of the day after collecting from Ssemuju.
With 12 minutes left on the clock, eventual man-of-the-match, Ssemuju got in on the act, firing in after controlling a long ball and turning inside the area.
BUL could have scored more on the day but Musa Esenu had a goal correctly disallowed for offside while Ssemuju saw an effort saved by Onduparaka custodian Yusuf Wasswa after the forward pounced onto a weak back pass.
It was a frustrating afternoon for the visitors who barely had a snif at the BUL goal.
Their best opening fell to Julius Malingumu who saw his effort pushed away to safety by Sanson Munaba while youngster Ezra Bida fired over from a free kick.
The result means BUL maintains 6th spot with 36 points from 25 games.
For Onduparaka who have now lost 12 of their 25 games this season, they remain 8th on the log with 31 points.
In their next fixtures, BUL FC will travel away to Kyetume FC on May 5 while Onduparaka plays host to Bright Stars FC on the say day.
