KCCA FC defender Mustafa Kizza will return to Uganda this weekend.
The left-back has been away since last week, understandably in Switzerland with FC Luasanne.
His absence was confirmed by KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi on Tuesday.
“Kizza (Mustapha) is away and currently in Switzerland for trails, revealed Mutebi.
Kizza who has missed the Kasasiros last two league encounters left to train with the Luasanne based side and after playing in a friendly on Friday, he will return to both KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes.
He was summoned to the national team which is currently training ahead of the 2020 CHAN Championships in Cameroon last week but was allowed to depart and try to complete his move.
It is understood that he is not in Switzerland for trails as Mutebi earlier announced but rather to enable Lausanne officials have a closer glimpse of him after they were impressed by his videos and CV.
The move is not expected to be sealed before the season ends but according to close sources, Kizza will sign with the Swiss Challenge League side this coming summer.
This means that he will be part of the CHAN tournament as Uganda bids to reach the knock out stages of the 11-year old competition for the first time in history.
Kizza has in the past been eyeing a move away from KCCA but it failed to materialize.
As recent as January 2020, he saw a move to Morocco fall through at the last minute, forcing him to return to Lugogo.
If he indeed moves to Luasanne, he will become the second high profile departure at KCCA FC in a period of six months after Allan Okello did so in January.
Okello left the Lugogo based side and signed for Algerian side Paradou AC.
