Masaza Cup side Gomba Football Club have secured goalkeeper Nasif Kabuye to a new deal.
This will be the fourth year that Kabuye has been at Gomba since joining them in 2017.
He was in goal when Gomba secured their fourth Masaza Cup crown in 2017.
Kabuye expresse his delight at signing a new deal and hopes to win another Masaza Cup crown.
“It is humbling to play at Gomba Ssaza team, noted Kabuye.
“After winning with the team in 2017, I look forward winning again in 2020 as the Lions seek for the fifth championship.”
Kabuye plays in the Kampala Regional League with Kampala Junior Team (KJT), a side he has been with since their time in the fourth division.
His Masaza Cup journey started in 2015 with Busujju before crossing to Buluri the following year. It was from Busujju that Gomba signed him.
At Gomba, he joins another goalkeeper Emmanuel Derrick Were, a three time Masaza Cup champion who was earlier signed.
Gomba has already signed several players including Henry Bishop Orom, Nasser Lukwago, Ponsiano Ssegonjja, Ben Nambokoho, Abdallah Ssentongo, Joseph Bright Vuni, Amuli Mukasa, Hussein Grace Senoga, Ibrahim Kasinde, Bashir Lubinga, Sharif Nsereko as well as forwards Richard Basangwa, Isaac Ogwang and Raymond Walugembe.
Gomba are seeking a fifth title since the Masaza Cup tournament was restored in 2004.
Bulemezi are the defending champions of the competition having defeated Busiro in last year’s final played at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
