Speaking after signing the extension, Keni who joined Villa from Proline FC in 2019, spoke highly of the Jogoos.
“I am happy to commit my future to this great club because as a young boy growing up, I dreamed of playing for one of the great clubs of Uganda and they don’t come any greater than SC Villa. At this point in time, there is no better place for me to further my career that at this great club.” Noted Keni.
Villa are trying to secure a host of player to new contracts but some have so far failed to agree terms with the club.
After getting his issues sorted, it feel more of relief for Keni.
“It is a relief to finally get the paperwork out of the way so I can focus on doing what i love the most-which is football. It is somewhat unfortunate that there is not much football going on at the moment but i am working hard to ensure that as soon as the league returns, I am in shape.”
Keni is the undisputed starter for the Jogoos although he has awoken divided opinions among the Villa fans due to his blowing hot and cold on some occasions.
SC Villa performed decently last season, finishing in third spot when the league was prematurely ended after 25 rounds.
