
KAMPALA – Express FC continue shaping their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
On Saturday, August 22, the Red Eagles announced the signing of Mustapha Kiragga.
Kiragga becomes their 5th signing of the off-season, joining Cryspas Kusiima, Denis Otim, Richard Wasswa and Abel Etrude.
The 19 year old striker joins the Red Eagles from Alexandria FC in South Africa.
It is understood that he has signed a two year deal that will see him feature for the Wankulukuku based side until 2022.
His arrival is a huge addition to the striking force and hopes to score as many goals to help the team finish in a better position.
Speaking during his unveiling, Kiragga noted that he is at Express to score as many goals as possible.
“I am happy to be a Red Eagle. As a striker, my target is to score as many goals and also help the team perform well.” Noted Kiragga as quoted by Express FC.com.
It is expected that Express will continue signing more players as the season-start edges closer.
They let go of up to 15 players who they intend to replace before the season starts.
Last season, Express finished 9th with 31 points from 25 games.
The Uganda Premier League is expected to resume on 17th October 2020 pending clearance from the ministry of health and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
