
Uganda’s long distance runner Jacob Kiplimo has won yet another race!
Kiplimo who less than two weeks ago triumphed in the 5000m race in Ostrava, crossed the line first in the 3000m race in Rome.
This was at the Diamond League where he came in as one of the three favourites to win.
The former IAAF Cross country junior champion arrived home in a time of 7:26:64, beating his previous personal best of 7:43:73, he had previously set in Doha in 2017.
In the process, Kiplimo also beat the National record previously held by Moses Kipsiro at a time of 7:30.95.
Pre-race favourite Ingebrigtsen finished second with a time of 7:27.05 while Australia’s Stewart McSweyn took third place.
