Wakiso Giants FC have finally signed Lawrence Bukenya on a permanent deal.
The midfielder spent last season on loan at the Purple Sharks from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC.
Following the confirmation that KCCA FC had let go of him-on Sunday, September 13, Wakiso announced his arrival three days later.
It is understood that Bukenya has penned down a three-year deal and he will be a Purple Sharks until 2023.
Speaking on Wednesday, Bukenya noted that he enjoyed the one-year loan stint at Wakiso Giants FC and is keen to achieve with the club.
“I enjoyed my time here last season and i am glad the move has been made permanent. Said Bukenya.
“I feel at home here and want to achieve a lot with this wonderful club at the moment.
“I thank KCCA FC for the time i spent there and wish them all the best.”
Last season, Bukenya was an undisputed starter at Wakiso, scoring just a single goal.
