
KAMPALA – Express FC have secured the services of Daniel Kiwanuka as their goalkeeping coach.
Kiwanuka who has been part of KCCA FC’s technical team was confirmed on Wednesday, October 21.
It is understood that he has signed a two-year deal at the Red Eagles that will see him at Wankulukuku until 2022.
In the particular role, Kiwanuka replaces Sam Kawalya who was forced to step aside due to health issues.
Speaking during his unveiling, Kiwanuka noted that he wanted a new challenge and Express’s history was too big to turn down.
“Express FC is one of the historical clubs in Uganda but most importantly, am here because i want a new challenge. Kiwanuka stated.
“I have achieved everything there’s to win in the Ugandan football league hence the need to seek for a new challenge.
Kiwanuka’s playing career saw him feature for the likes of Diary FC, UMEME FC, Simba FC and Maji FC.
As a coach, he has had spells with both the U17 boys and girls and the U20 boys and girls national teams.
