The Friday night game in Ligue 1 will take place between Rennes and Angers and the home side will be the favourites to win this match.
Whilst Rennes have been very impressive this season and still remain unbeaten they have dropped points in the last two games with two draws.
Both draws can be considered surprises because they came against Reims and Dijon with both of those sides struggling at the bottom of the table and Rennes would have been tipped to have won both games.
As a result of their two draws Rennes have slipped to 3rd place with 15 points but they are only two points adrift of league leaders Lille.
Angers come into this game in 11th place but they have 10 points. They have won 3, lost 3 and drawn one and so have been quite unpredictable but already they look like a club who won’t be struggling in the relegation zone this season.
Form hasn’t been great for Angers though who have just 1 win in their last four games. Their last result ended in a 1-1 draw against Metz.
Last season Rennes won this fixture 2-1. There have been 18 goals in the last 3 competitive fixtures. The clubs played a friendly at Rennes only in August which ended 1-0 to Rennes.
