Serie A week four ends with Verona-Genoa on Monday night. The first game of the Grifone since the Coronavirus outbreak that hit the team three weeks ago.
The likes of Mattia Perin, Miha Zajc, Ivan Radovanovic, Marco Pjaca, Luca Pellegrini, Davide Biraschi, Filippo Melegoni, Valon Behrami, Lasse Schone and Federico Marchetti have recovered and tested negative for Covid, and the first two of them are expected to start at the Stadio Bentegodi.
Verona’s Koray Gunter and Antonin Barak are out of action because they’ve tested positive for Covid-19 but Miguel Veloso returns to action after a calf injury that forced him out of action in the opening three Serie A games of the season.
Nikola Kalinic is ready to make his debut with the Gialloblù but the former Atletico Madrid man may start from the bench.
Verona are unbeaten in 11 of their 13 home games against Genoa in Serie A (6W, 5D). Only Cagliari have less victories than Genoa among the teams hosted at least 12 times in Verona in Italy’s top- flight.
