Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango has on Monday, morning arrived ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
Onyango becomes the latest foreign based player to jet in as the Cranes continue preparations for the two games against South Sudan.
His arrival takes the tally of players-in camp to 15, including both the foreign and local based.
All of the seven local-based players including Charles Lukwago, Disan Galiwango, Halid Lwaliwa, Karim Watambala, Shafik Kagimu, Brian Aheebwa and Patrick Mbowa have all been training since the team entered camp.
The foreign players that arrived earlier, include Derrick Nsibambi, Salim Jamal, Allan Kyambadde, Khalid Aucho, Nicholas Wadada, Emmanuel Okwi and Mike Azira. However, only Nsibambi and Jamal have been able to train with the team.
The rest along with Onyango are expected to feature in their first training on Monday afternoon.
Monday’s session will take place at the St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende, the venue for the first game.
Uganda will host the first game on Thursday before travelling to Kenya for the second game on Monday, November 14.
Currently, the Cranes lead group B with four points from their opening two games while South Sudan are rooted at the bottom having lost both of their opening games.
