Cagliari and Sampdoria both want to get back on track after positive runs were interrupted last week.
The Sardinians had won back-to-back games before their 3-2 thriller defeat at Bologna, while the Blucerchiati saw their three consecutive victories stalled by a draw in the Derby della Lanterna.
Sampdoria have not won in Sardinia since a 3-0 result in November 2007, managing four draws and six Serie A defeats.
