Sassuolo vs Inter Milan
MAPEI Stadium, Reggio Nell’Emilia
Saturday, 28-11-2020 @5pm
Inter are presented another stern test when they travel to the Mapei Stadium to face high-flying Sassuolo in Serie A on Saturday.
The Neroverdi are still unbeaten in the League after an impressive start to the season, picking up 18 points from the first eight games to sit second.
Sassuolo trail Milan by two points and get another chance to take the overnight lead in Serie A, but Inter have a lot to prove after another setback against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The 4-2 win against Torino last weekend was the Nerazzurri’s only success in their six last games across all competitions.
But Inter are fifth and within touching distance on 15 points, and the two sides are separated by Roma and Juventus on third and fourth respectively.
Francesco Caputo could be back for the home side and Inter could give the same XI a chance to redeem themselves in Reggio Emilia.
Sassuolo-Inter has never ended in a draw at the Mapei Stadium in Serie A. Sassuolo have won four and Inter three out of seven meetings.
Benevento vs Juventus
Stadio Ciro Vigorito, Benevento
Saturday, 28-11-2020 @8pm
Reigning champions Juventus continue with a trip to newly promoted Benevento on Saturday.
The Old Lady are unbeaten in Serie A and expect to continue their run against the Streghe this weekend, as Andrea Pirlo’s men come from a 2-1 win against Ferencvaros in the Champions League.
The win secured a place in the knockout stages of the competition and the Bianconeri can focus on cutting the gap to League leaders Milan in Serie A until Christmas.
Currently four points behind the Rossoneri, Pirlo expects the transitional period to be over for his men but knows Filippo Inzaghi’s men can surprise at the Ciro Vigorito.
Benevento have picked up nine points and sit 14th and bounced back from a run of four straight losses with a success at the Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina last weekend.
But Pirlo could have to cope without three key members in defence against Benevento, as Matthijs de Ligt seems to be the only recognised defender available at the moment.
Leonardo Bonucci is the closest to return, but Danilo could feature in the heart of the defence again, whilst Paulo Dybala is expected to start on the bench, as he didn’t grab the opportunity against Ferencvaros.
Benevento have scored in both games against Juventus in Serie A, but have lost both games.
Atalanta vs Hellas Verona
Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo
Saturday, 28-11-2020 @10:45pm
Atalanta are back in business after their prestigious Champions League win at Anfield, but Gian Piero Gasperini faces his student Ivan Juric’s Verona on Saturday.
La Dea were able to celebrate the historic 2-0 victory away to Liverpool, including Josip Ilicic’s first goal of the season, using a 3-5-2 formation without genuine strikers.
That won’t be the case here, so Duvan Zapata or Luis Muriel, perhaps even both, are set to start upfront against a Verona side who play very similar football.
That is no coincidence, as Juric was Gasperini’s player and then assistant at Genoa. They were both tight games last season, Atalanta winning 3-2 and then drawing 1-1 at the Bentegodi. Hellas lost last weekend to Sassuolo, but only after hitting the woodwork an incredible four times. They also had a controversial Coppa Italia defeat to Cagliari on Wednesday.
Verona are without an away win since January, 2-0 at SPAL, managing nine draws and five defeats.
