Sassuolo and Benevento both started the season going all-out attack and conceding plenty too, but have reined it in lately.
The Neroverdi have still lost only one game, but their 0-0 with 10-man Roma was another example of players running out of steam amid injuries and COVID.
As for Pippo Inzaghi’s Streghe, they steadied the ship by going unbeaten in three rounds and clambering up to mid-table.
This is the first time ever that Benevento have managed three Serie A rounds in a row without defeat.
Sassuolo have kept four clean sheets in the last five games, as many as in their previous 28 Serie A fixtures.
