
Uganda Rugby Cranes XVs Coach Brian Makalama has on, Monday July 05 named a squad of 28 players for the Rugby Africa Cup Pool C games.
Uganda will take on both Ghana and Algeria in their pool games at Kyadondo later this month.
The Uganda Rugby Cranes will play their first game on Saturday 10th July 2021 against Ghana at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds at 3:00pm before taking on Algeri on the 18th of the same month.
According to Makalama, the squad is a mixture of experienced players and debutants players.
”The selected team is a mixture of experience and youthfulness. We tried to get the team that has individuals with basic skills, individuals that are able to think on their own and individuals that are not shy to exploit their talent,” Makalama told Uganda Rugby Union (URU) media.
Eight players are poised to make their debuts at Africa’s showpiece event which also doubles as Qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup.
