UPDF FC have confirmed the appointment of Brian Ssenyondo as their new head coach.
The Uganda Premier League side announced Ssenyondo was taking over the vacant role on Monday, July 12 through their CEO Ashraf Miiro.
Ssenyondo is understood to have signed a two-year deal with the Army side.
“We are humbled to present Brian Ssenyondo as the UPDF Football Club head coach for a duration of two years. Miiro announced.
The UPDF head coaching role fell vacant last week following the departure of Kefa Kisala.
Kisala who replaced Steven Bogere at the start of last season, left the club by mutual agreement and his deal that still had a year left on it was terminated.
Ssenyondo has been without a club since leaving Mbarara City FC last year.
Last season, UPDF finished 8th with 37 points from 26 games.
