
SC Villa have completed the signing of Kenneth Ssemakula from fellow Uganda Premier League side BUL FC.
The defender has joined Villa on a two-year deal until 2023.?
The Jogoos announced Ssemakula’s signing on Wednesday, August 4.
“Central Defender Kenneth Semakula has put pen to paper to a three-year deal to keep him at Villa Park up to 2024.” Villa announced on their website.
Semakula spent one season at the BUL after joining them from city rivals Busoga United at the start of the 2020/21 season.
He is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the country.
Ssemakula who was part of the Uganda Hippos team that finished second at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania, early this year, becomes Villa’s first official signing of the off-season.
The Jogoos are also expected to unveil forward Charles Bbaale with who a deal was agreed with, in principle.
Ssemakula is expected to fill the void left by Asuman Harishe and Geoffrey Wasswa, who departed the club last month
