KAMPALA, Uganda — The Victoria University Crocs secured a coveted spot in the National Basketball League with a resounding 72-53 win over the UMU Flames.
The Crocs dominated the game from start to finish, sealing a 3-0 sweep in the best-of-five series at the Lugogo Arena. They came into Game 3 with a 2-0 lead and showed no signs of slowing down, holding a narrow five-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Crocs increased their dominance, steadily building a commanding lead that the UMU Flames couldn’t close. With the final whistle, Victoria University’s victory was confirmed.
The NBL took to Twitter to acknowledge the team’s success, saying “Hello Victoria, welcome to the table of the big boys. See you when the time is right.”
This historic victory marks a significant milestone for the Victoria University Crocs, who have been chasing a return to the NBL.
