A secondary school teacher in Jinja, Uganda, has resigned from his job after winning a staggering 400 million Ugandan shillings from fixed games betting.
Patrick, who taught at one of Jinja’s top schools, told this website that he had taken a “bold leap of faith” after reading numerous success stories about Uganda Bettors Association‘s fixed games.
He said he had initially been skeptical but had decided to take the risk after doing his research.
“I contacted the Uganda Bettors Association, made the necessary payments, and even let them place the bet on my behalf,” he said.
fter winning the money, Patrick said he was initially hesitant to believe it was real.
“I feared I might be scammed or asked for more money,” he said.
However, the Uganda Bettors Association deducted 15% of his winnings as agreed and deposited the rest directly into his bank account.
Patrick has now decided to leave his teaching career behind to focus on investing.
“I am not going to continue betting – I don’t want greed to take over,” he said.
“My financial struggles pushed me to this, and now that I have won, it’s enough. Teaching has been tough, and I am finally saying goodbye.”
Patrick’s story has inspired many Ugandans who dream of financial freedom.
